about

I keep seeing these album release promos where bands talk about needing something fresh, so they pack up the gear and go to the desert or some shit to play drums with spaghetti squash while the guitar player leaves their guitar at home and plays a tuba for the first time for the excitement of musical discovery. Y'all, you're a fucking ska band. A) you should already have a tuba player, and B) experimental, psychedelic ska isn't a thing, and it should never be. That's a hill that I'm willing to die on.

I thought I'd try to do this type of write up, but fuck it... this is what I do. This is the world I'm creating to immerse myself in. I make these songs so I have something to listen to. And listen I do. I'd say that about 55% of the music I listen to is shit I make, because I'm making music that I want to hear. Is that weird? I dunno and I can't say that I care if it is. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate it when people listen and enjoy, no lie. But if I was the last person left on Earth, I would raid all the synth and pedal shops, hole up in a giant church (that I would cleanse with repeated plays through a massive sound system of the entire first generation of Earache Records bands), and just make music. Yup, hunt for food and fresh water by day, and get hella zen at night.

All that said, here's a new 28-ish minute release for all you people out there. Listen along with me. It is a pleasant listen, I promise. As usual, use headphones or I'll cry.

Weed helps too... just sayin'.

Thank you. I love you.
